    ADVIA 120’s global presence requires it to support many different languages. Each language has specific needs that are uncommon, and the ADVIA 120 is required to address them all appropriately. This document identifies the specific software requirements for ADVIA 120’s support of English, French, German, Italian and Spanish languages. Addressing of the Kanji language is beyond the scope of this SRD.

    Multi-species software enables the ADVIA 120 to process blood from several species in addition to human blood. Blood analysis varies based on the selected species.  In addition morphology and range flagging may vary based on the selected species.

    The backup and restore function of any computer system allows the user to save data to disk or other device for later retrieval.  The purpose for backing up information is to ensure the ability to reinstate a computer to a previously operable state in the event data is corrupted or accidentally deleted.  Information can also be exported from the ADVIA 120 environment into a text file format.  This document defines the necessary enhancement requirements for the ADVIA 120’s Backup/Restore and Export process from a user’s perspective.

    The Exerciser is one of the primary troubleshooting tools for the ADVIA 120.  The Exerciser allows activating major moving components in the analyzer and autosampler.  The Exerciser also allows adjustment of optic light intensities and monitoring of critical areas of the analyzer and autosampler.

    This document outlines the changes and improvements to be made to the ADVIA 120 Run Screen in order for the Run Screen to be used for the purpose of reporting clinical patient results.

    ADVIA 120 is a stand-alone product that is designed to work in conjunction with Laboratory Automation Systems (LAS).  LabCell is Bayer Diagnostics’ product offering in the LAS market.  This document describes the features and functionality required of ADVIA 120 software to integrate with the LabCell LAS software.

    ADVIA 120 provides a large range of functionality for many different types of  users. In order to ensure that the appropriate functionality is available to the user there is a requirement for a mechanism through which access to certain functions and data items can be restricted and managed. This document defines the ADVIA 120 security requirements, solely from the user perspective.
